Cheating merchants with guilty consciences are his targets as well. This is the elusive protagonist of the movie. He constantly changes his name, stages his own death, and travels from town to town. His exploits are myriad and his life is an endless adventure. Yet, he remains an amiable swindler, an unrealized actor, whose only goal is make his life more interesting.

Stoev, a talented architect is working in Rio de Janeiro. All along the design stages, Stoev's understanding has been that he would be going together with his assistant architect. However, the company chief secretly decides to change the terms and go instead of the assistant, threatening Stoev to cancel the whole deal if he doesn't comply. Stoev is left with the dilemma to betray a colleague and friend, or to miss the greatest opportunity in his career. When Stoev is about to choose the former, a mysterious dead body appears in his life.

Marinov is found dead, and suspects include Baev, Dimov, and Zhana. The Inspector, who deals with life’s dark side, investigates. Despite his loneliness, he shows compassion, especially towards Zhana. Ultimately, he concludes Marinov committed suicide and demonstrates that people can embrace higher morality. There he learns that an agent provocateur has killed his wife, that his child is safe and has been raised in a nursery, and that he himself is respected as a hero. Golden Tooth sets out to eliminate his accomplices. With a file containing valuable documents, the traitors prepare their escape abroad. The spies are caught at the border. Golden Tooth kills the last of the traitors and dies driving his lorry into a precipice.

In a small town, two married people fall in love. What difficulties they will face and how to cope with them.

Bistra and Evgeny, first year university students, are in love and inseparable, but slowly with time Bistra becomes infatuated with Evgeny's dad, as she sees him as the embodiment of what her dream lover would be. Shocked and distressed at this revelation, Evgeny hits a pedestrian with his car. Bistra's the only one who can help him in court if she's willing to admit what they talked about before the crash.

Dr Ganevski leaves his wife Maria and his grown-up children Rositza and Chavdar for Dr Troyanovska, who has been widowed by the war. Her son, Angel, a school dropout, is in love with Rositza. Rositza renounces her father. Up to a point, Chavdar can understand Ganevski's decision. Hoping to live in affluence, the boy moves in with his father's new family. Dr Ganevski cannot bring himself to visit his daughter who is ill with the pneumonia. On his birthday, which he celebrates at his father's, Chavdar feels terribly lonely and leaves him.

Bizarre events happen in an isolated village.

In a small provincial town, an young local artist exhibits his works. One of the paintings, depicting a fairy dance of naked women, provoke the people which discover similarities with a certain lady from the neighbourhood.

When a road construction detour forces former lovers Boyan and Neda to cross paths after seventeen years, they are compelled to spend a day traveling together toward Sofia. Their idealistic romance in the 1950s contrasts with their current lives as disillusioned, middle-aged professionals. As they talk, they confront the personal and social choices that led to their eventual separation.

Todor Primov is an officer of the royal army who changes sides and goes over to the partisans. After the war, he graduates in engineering and is appointed manager of several construction projects. His car crashes on the eve of March 13. After his recovery, Primov resumes his work. Yet, secret information starts leaking from the projects and some serious accidents occur. Andrey, who befriended Todor Primov back in the partisan unit, goes to investigate the causes. He knows that Todor was colored-blind while this engineer distinguished colors. Andrey manages to get at the truth: Parvan Primov, Todor's twin brother, has made the car crash. On that night he killed his brother and took his place...

There are essentially two types of people: those who think with their stomachs, and those who think with their hearts.

The action in the film takes place in a remote Bulgarian village. A certain conflict takes place between the new-coming young people and the old villages because of the water.
