A man returns to the town where he abandoned his wife and daughter for ten years.
During a conversation between a grandfather and his grandson, the latter tells him the story of the liberator General JosĂ© de San MartĂn (1778-1850) from the patriot's childhood, through his stay in Spain, his return to the RĂo de la Plata, the development of the continental plan and the European exile.
A widow who lives with her two daughters, takes care of an officer who hates women. They will change him.
