Bleak House is BBC television drama first broadcast in 1985. The serial was adapted by Arthur Hopcraft from Charles Dickens' novel Bleak House and it was the second adaptation by the BBC.

Worlds Beyond is a British television anthology broadcast on ITV from 1986 to 1988, based on real-life supernatural experiences described in archival documents from the Society for Psychical Research. A book was also released to accompany the series.

Chiller is a five-part British horror anthology television series, produced by Yorkshire Television, broadcast on ITV from 9 March to 27 April 1995. Described by The Guardian as ITV's 'answer to The X Files', the series is inspired by, but unconnected to, the 1991 Channel 4 thriller Gray Cray Dolls, which broadcast under the Chiller banner. The series featured writing contributions from renowned playwrights Stephen Gallagher, Glenn Chandler and Anthony Horowitz.

As her family faces financial struggles and newfound success, the statue's tears return, turning their lives upside down and drawing crowds from near and far to witness the miraculous phenomenon.

When Mum and her three children rent a country cottage, the arrival of Dad coincides with the manifestation of a ghostly crying woman on the telephone, radio, record player and television. Made for ITV Schools' 'Middle English' strand, this three-part drama was later turned into a stage play by writer Jan Mark and published in Longman's 'Star Plays' series in 1987.
