Don Múnera is a young man from Tolima who ran away from the violence in his region, he tries to live in the big city, but things are not any better, so then travels to the gold mines in Antioquia, meets the people and tries to adapt, despite the dangers in town.

An outcast looks for a glass of water in the house of a single woman, he notices that she is industrious yet repulsive and resolves¸ under the guise of love¸ to exploit her as a servant. After some drunkenness and beatings¸ the woman decides to take revenge; taking advantage of one of these drunkenness¸ when he has fallen asleep in a hammock¸ he sews the hammock around the edges and throws a pot of boiling water on it.

The film tells the story of a promising young cyclist and two of his friends who must overcome a series of problems to achieve their dream future as "beetles."

A follow up of a young woman, an artist's model, in her dreamlike wandering through the intimacy of her home.
