When a newborn baby is abandoned in a convent Andalusian Mother Superior decides to be the gardener who takes over from him. As the boy grows, manifest a decided vocation for bullfighting and, although his adoptive father did not endorse, struggle to achieve his dream.

It tells the story of a boy from an orphanage, raised in a convent, who saves a young woman who supports the institution from being gored by a bull, and later leaves the convent to follow the girl he had helped and to become a bullfighter.
