Carmencita becomes the governor's wife and Esteban a bandit who steals Spanish wheat and gold to give to the people. On Carmencita's whim, Esteban's mother, arrested and accused of witchcraft, dies. Esteban continues his life as a bandit and becomes the terrible Unnamed, who will finally reach his conversion thanks to Lucia and Cardinal Federico.
