Ulvi Mehdi

Shot during the Nagorno-Karabakh War, "Fəryad" is only one of its kind. Following the Khojaly Massacre, Ismayil, an officer tasked with collecting the bodies, crosses enemy lines to avenge the brutal murder of a local schoolgirl. There he gets captured by Armenians and waits for the day to be exchanged for an enemy POW.

This story is about a person who dosen’t have a life of his own, but lives the life of others. His own individuality is lost, making him a misfit.

Maqsad lives a simple life with his wife Giyamat and son Sohbat, but suddenly things change when his son Maksim from a Russian woman comes to see his father from Russia.
