Recounts the experiences of a middle-class family, the Alcántaras, during the last years of the rule of Francisco Franco and the beginning of the Spanish Transition to democracy.

The lifeless bodies of a man and two women appear in a house in Miami. Some images recorded by a video camera lead the police to believe that the murderer is the Spaniard Pablo Ibar, who will be tried and sentenced to death.

Octavio and Adela were born on the same day, April 14th, 1931. During the following 8 decades, their lives will intertwine through intense encounters and misunderstandings in 8 episodes. A passionate love story between a brave and fighting woman and a man confronted with his contradictions. They will have to face coming from families on opposing sides of a country slowly heading towards a Civil War, along with the history of Spain and Europe as a background.

Madrid, Spain, 1936. The young Miguel Gila lives happily with his grandparents in a humble attic; but the outbreak of the Civil War forces him to go to fight.

In the late 1980s, in a working-class neighborhood on the outskirts of Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. A girls' rhythmic gymnastics team has the opportunity to compete in a tournament in Berlin; but since the girls' mothers cannot take time off work, it is the fathers who must accompany them on the trip.

Garate and Omar are young, gay and in love, and want to have a child. After failed attempts with their female pals, they befriend Raquel, a pregnant woman whose partner has died of aids. Sound conventional? Spinnin' is anything but.

Toño, an 11 year old boy, takes on the responsibility of caring for his sick sister due to his father's neglectful behavior. When he learns that orphans can have a better life in a shelter, he must choose between letting his sister's condition worsen or becoming a monster himself.
