Titus Thotawatte

A sprawling portrait of rural life in Sri Lanka; the story revolves around a boy and his friend--a blind girl who he accidentally 'heals' by giving her sight. Though the girl believes the boy healed her, in reality the boy has no such powers. The father of the boy fools the village folk into believing he's a healer, but ultimately the sham is exposed, causing the village to revolt against the boy and his family.

Sandesaya (Sinhalese language word meaning The Message) is a 1960 film. The film based on the war between the Sinhalese people and the Portuguese invaders in Sri Lanka. It was directed by Sri Lankan film director Lester James Peries. It was produced by K. Gunaratnam on behalf of the Cinemas Company on the request of Raj Kapoor.

Based on the character of the infamous bandit Marusira, Maruwa Samaga Wase is another movie that was directed by Titus Thotawatte. Marusira A.K.A Siripala is a criminal who escaped death three times but was finally put to rest, which actually caused a huge controversy in society.

Anura, a village youth manages to qualify for university where he discovers a whole new world which threatens his beliefs and values.

The movie is about the discovery of an underwater treasure. It involves a mixture of ancient legends, human treachery and romance.

Sooppuwa, a young boy is unhappy with Sena, who has been given the responsibility of looking after Handaya, the horse. To avenge Sena, Sooppuwa and his gang attack him and kidnap his brother Chutte. Sena is challenged in a horse race, where he emerges a winner in spite of many obstacles.

The story follows Bonny Mahaththaya (Gamini Fonseka), a wealthy and hedonistic landowner who lives a life of wine and pleasure. His world is challenged by his unrequited love for Kamala (Punya Heendeniya), who instead loves a humble worker named Sirisena (Joe Abeywickrama).
