Two daughters of a Nepalese Tamang family are preparing to study abroad. Their hopes for a better life are high, but the price is immeasurable. They have to leave behind what is the Tamang people’s greatest good: their family. The sisters seek a conversation with their mother and grandmother, who still live arduous lives following the old tradition.

The camera follows movements that we cannot initially identify. Then we realize that we are observing workers on a flower farm and their daily work routines. From now on, we will no longer perceive red roses solely as a symbol of love.

A Palestinian family deals with the loss of their 22-year-old son Omar after he was shot dead by the Israeli military. The film follows Omar's younger brother, his sister and his mother who live in a Palestinian refugee camp near Bethlehem, West Bank. While Omar’s sister Rama holds onto old memories and pictures, his brother Mohammad rarely talks about Omar’s death. But one evening, above the roofs of the camp, he shares his deepest thoughts about the future with his best friend. Omar's death has left deep marks on the siblings and their own will to live. While they struggle to move on with their lives, Omar’s mother is torn between pride and grief. She believes in the meaning of his death as a martyr.

In November 2021, people tried to enter the EU via Belarus and Poland, but the route turned out to be a death trap. All access points to the border region were blocked in order not to create an escape corridor. Men, women and children were stuck in no man’s land – in the middle of winter, in the middle of the forest, for weeks. The film follows Polish activists on their mission. They learn that humanitarian aid, just like the refugees themselves, comes up against borders.
