For over 500 years now, the castle ghost Hui Buh has been stirring things up at Castle Burgeck. His friend and owner of the castle, King Julius is not the only one who finds Hui Buh's poor attempts at scary hauntings terribly annoying. The chaotic atmosphere at the castle reaches an all-time high when the young witch Ophelia appears at the castle gates out of nowhere, claiming to be Hui Buh's long lost niece. Ophelia is in possession of the Necronomicon, an ancient book of spells that is as evil as it is powerful. Hui Buh, realizing the possibilities that the book would open up for him, is dying to get his hands on the book...

Charly and Benny are great friends. Hamid, who came from Syria as a refugee child, is also one of them. But the carefree days of childhood end when Benny's grandfather dies and his grandson inherits a necklace with a Star of David. For Benny it's just a bond, but for some kids from school just looking for a fight, it's the perfect meal. The three get caught up in a web of racism, bullying and anti-Semitism.

Motte is 15 years old in the fall of 1977 and has to come to terms with the news that his best friend Bogi has to go to the hospital with a life-threatening illness. This is a seemingly impossible task, because his first love, his parents' impending divorce, his enthusiasm for Bowie and soccer, an omnipresent chimney sweep, and his anger at not being able to share all this with Bogi overwhelm Motte and lead him to make himself scarce at the hospital.

A withdrawn teenage girl forms a close bond with a mysterious newcomer, slowly becoming entangled in a tight-knit community where belonging, trust, and subtle manipulation begin to blur the line between connection and control.
