Ever had an idea for a film? Ever actually visualised this film in your mind? Or even sketched out scenes and camera angles? Plenty of film buffs have. Michael Glawogger invited 12 people to talk about their ideas for a film and then shot short fragments for them. The result is a crime-story-erotic-lyrical-experimental-vampire-fantasy-horror-soap-opera-splatter-trash-road-movie-melodrama posing as a documentary!

A strange woman in Vienna. During her excursion through the city, she meets bizarre characters and witnesses unusual events. The feeling of being a stranger, translated into a cinematic medium.

Egon arrives. Rather, Egon arrives late. If he had arrived on time, the situation which had made his arrival unwelcome, would not have occured. He would have been welcomed and this farce would not have been able to take place...

This film was shot in and around Dar Es Salaam. It was made with the help of a band called "Roots & Kulture" (Cultural Awareness Projects). Africa impressed me in a very special way. With all my bulky film equipment I remained an intruder and alien to this culture. I became increasingly aware of this during my trip. Richard, the main cast, has become the impersonation of my estrangement. (Georg Eisnecker)
