A prostitute and a down-on-his-luck illegal immigrant decide to marry, both to cure her loneliness and grant him U.S. citizenship. However, when the couple falls on hard times, they are forced into a life of crime.

The plot revolves around a haunted house. In this instance, the ghosts are past employees of an old-time brothel. The spirits visit in the middle of the night, much to the benefit of the present-day residents.
