Ben Harney is an American stage actor and dancer, best known for his Tony Award-winning performance as Curtis Taylor Jr. in the original Broadway production of Dreamgirls (1982). Born in Brooklyn in 1952, Harney graduated from Manhattan’s High School of Music & Art in 1970 and was active in theater from 1972 to 1985. In 1990, he co-created and starred in the children’s Christian video series Ben & Eddie, blending biblical storytelling with puppetry and music. His work reflects a commitment to artistic excellence and faith-based education.
