Biography
Harry (1989) is a London-based self-taught neurodivergent, award-winning filmmaker and a member of BAFTA Connect and Directors UK. He grew up in Kingswood, Bristol and left school at sixteen, planning to join the Army, then working as a labourer for several years. After getting in trouble with the police and realising there was more to life, Harry moved to Ibiza to work for the summer and discovered a passion for photography. Upon his return to the UK, he saved up and moved to London to study Fine Art Photography, where he realised a love of cinema and has been obsessed ever since. His narrative short films have screened at Oscar, BAFTA and BIFA-qualifying film festivals worldwide. His latest film, This Love Isn’t Taught, produced by Euras Films with a budget of £45k, just started its festival run, premiering at the BAFTA-qualifying BFI Flare film festival in March 2026. His previous film, The Out, premiered at the Oscar-qualifying Indy Shorts Film Festival in 2022 named one of the Best Short Film Festivals in the World by Moviemaker Magazine. The Out won Best Director at the BIFA-qualifying Little Wing Film Festival, was nominated for Best Film at the British Short Film Awards and screened at London Short Film Festival, among others. Dedicated to the craft, Harry funds his filmmaking through various side hustles, often juggling multiple jobs to finance his work. He is currently developing his debut feature alongside a youth community cinema project, as well as several short films. His work focuses on bold, poetic storytelling and the lives of outcasts and those from underrepresented and marginalised communities.
