Biography
Viktor Brobacke, born 24 September 1974 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a Swedish musician, trombonist, composer, actor, and performer. He is best known for his dynamic work with a variety of influential Swedish bands and artists across genres, including Club Killers, Darya & Månskensorkestern, and Moneybrother, and has performed with acts such as Stefan Sundström, Kajsa Grytt, Jaquee, Håkan Hellström, and Honey Is Cool. A versatile performer, Brobacke has blended ska, punk, reggae, jazz, and pop throughout his career, and has also worked extensively as a composer and musical director for theatre. He appeared as kapellmästare, storyteller, and musician in Stockholm Park Theatre’s production of Kåldolmar & kalsipper (2013–2014), and wrote all the music for the family concert adaptation Barnen från Frostmofjället. In 2020 he released his first solo album Vuxna barn, showcasing his wide-ranging influences from Swedish prog and indie to world music styles. As a performer, Brobacke is celebrated for his spirited trombone playing and charismatic stage presence. Beyond music, he has appeared in several film and television productions dating back to the early 1990s, further highlighting his breadth as an artist.
