Biography

Charley Feldman is a nonbinary, pansexual television writer and producer whose work spans digital media, animation, and children’s programming. They began their career in the digital content sphere, working with companies such as Machinima/Warner Digital, Screen Junkies (where they served as head writer), DEFY Media, and Fullscreen. In 2014, they co-founded a boutique production company called Chickbait (formerly “CREATURE”), which specialised in original content created by women and gender-expansive artists, primarily for geek and gamer audiences. Feldman later transitioned into television writing, moving into animation and children’s series. Their credits include writing for The Owl House (2020) and the animated reboot of Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock (2022), both produced by The Jim Henson Company. On Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, they served as a writer in Season 1 and were promoted to story editor for Season 2. Feldman was supervising producer and writer on the animated series X-Men ’97 (2024-), a revival of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series. Their work on that show earned them a nomination for the Primetime Emmy Award in the category “Outstanding Animated Program” for the episode “Remember It.” They were also nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award (TV: Children’s Episodic, Long Form and Specials) for Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. Feldman identifies with they/them pronouns and lives in Los Angeles with their pets.
