Biography
Derya Dilber (born 2000 in Berlin) is a German-Turkish actress. Derya Dilber grew up bilingually—speaking both German and Turkish—in Berlin-Charlottenburg and first appeared before the camera as early as 2014. After securing early roles in productions such as *Tatort*, she performed at the Berliner Ensemble in 2020 in the stage production *Die Möglichkeit einer Insel*. She gained wider recognition in 2021 for her lead role as Selma in the feature film *Ein nasser Hund*. This was followed by further film and television productions, including the series *Almania* and *Notruf Hafenkante*, as well as the film *Elaha*, which premiered at the Berlinale in 2023. In addition to German and Turkish, Dilber also speaks English.
