Social drama that explores issues of social justice in Yugoslav pre-war society. Marko, an honest, ordinary working man comes into conflict with the executive director in his company.

Set in the 1930s, it portrays life of a Bosniak family.

The main hero is a broke, unkempt pickpocket with certain moral values. He meets an old acquaintance in a bar, now successful man, who brings him over to his table in order to amuse his friends by doing humiliating acts for money. Once full of cash, he asks them to do the same and throws it back.

A young man leaves his village and goes to live in the urban outskirts. While changing one job after another, it turns out he's good for nothing and fails to keep it. On top of that, his girlfriend gets pregnant, and he decides to go back living on the farm again.
