Biography
Brazilian singer, songwriter, music producer and arranger. At the beginning of her career, she participated in several freshman shows on television, including The Voice Brasil , in which she was a semi-finalist under the stage name Mayara Prado. Later, she signed with Sony Music Brasil and released an EP and an album, which were not very popular. In 2016, she changed her stage name to Lauana Prado and achieved national notoriety two years later, with the EP Lauana Prado , which featured the hit "Cobaia". In the following years, she launched new projects such as Livre (2020), Natural (2022) and Ao Vivo em Brasília (2023), in addition to a re-recording tour, which generated projects such as Raiz (2022) and Raiz Goiânia (2023). Lauana is known as one of the main names in the feminejo movement and for her musical approach, which mixes genres such as country music , rock and reggae , as well as more positive lyrics. She also worked as a composer, having songs recorded by country artists such as Roberta Miranda , Edson & Hudson and Rionegro & Solimões . Before becoming a well-known performer, Lauana Prado used the stage name Mayara Prado and participated in freshman programs, including The Voice Brasil , being a semi-finalist on Carlinhos Brown 's team . He was also present in the Jovens Talentos and Mulheres que Brilham sections of the Raul Gil Program . The victory resulted in an artistic contract with the record label Sony Music Brasil . In 2014, Prado presented the EP Mayara Prado , which featured the participation of Turma do Pagode in "Pó Para" and the duo Marcos & Belutti in "Linguagem dos Beijos". The following year, the repertoire was expanded to the album 24 Horas por Segundo . Both works did not receive significant notoriety. The change of his artistic name to his current one was adopted at the suggestion of Fernando Zor , from the duo Fernando & Sorocaba . [ 3 ] With the change, the singer released the work Ensaio Acústico , which featured songs such as "Duvido que Vamos Brigar Again". Lauana became notable in 2018 with the song "Cobaia", which featured the country duo Maiara & Maraisa . The song reached around 10 million views in around two months of release and was part of the Lauana Prado EP . The singer then went on to record the live album Verdade (2019), which included the re-recording of "Cobaia" and new songs featuring Fernando & Sorocaba and Gabriel Diniz . In 2022, Lauana released the album Natural , whose repertoire was recorded in the Jalapão State Park under production by Gabriel Pascoal. With songs such as "Primeiro Eu", "Zap" and "Terminou Com Calma", it was the artist's second work nominated for a Latin Grammy in the category of Best country music album . [ 12 ] In the same year, the singer presented the album Raiz , composed of re-recordings of country songs, with musical production by Henrique Souza. [ 13 ] The project resulted in a continuation and subsequent tour in 2023 with the album Raiz Goiânia , with musical production by Lauana and William Santos. The re-recording of " Escrito nas Estrelas ", original by Tetê Espíndola , went viral on social media. [ 14 ] Still in 2023, Lauana released the album Ao Vivo em Brasília , produced by Ivan Miyazato , and composed of songs such as "Desandei", "Tanto Faz" and "Whisky Vagabund0"
