“Cinzenta” is a short film about the enduring presence of the smokestack from the former Companhia Brasileira de Carbureto de Cálcio in Santos Dumont. Once central to daily life, it now stands as a reminder of an industrial past. Through archival footage and personal memories, the film weaves together public and private stories, exploring what remains after the company’s decline.
“Jamais Visto” is the film we will never see. Set somewhere in the future in a phantom medium that suffers from direct interference from radiation and geomagnetism, the film reimagines the North Zone of Juiz de Fora and the housing complexes as the last refuge in the face of nuclear catastrophe.
