The number of humans left on Earth can be counted on one hand—the last ones. After the war of 2022, which occurred due to the superiority that humans felt towards the species they had created, leading to a revolt among the latter, chaos ensued throughout the world, as if it were the apocalypse. Changes in legislation and other regulations gave men the power to dominate, with many women being killed or genetically altered for sexist reasons, and new species emerging in laboratories. Robert is currently searching for his friend's killer. In his investigation, he ends up discovering humanity's greatest mystery, which will emerge in the near future.

Between documentary and animation, this film delves into collective memory, rescuing ancestral symbols and reopening old questions: what future remains when we forget the past? Profundo is born to inspire—to remind us that each whale carries the history of the planet, that each sea holds what we have not yet been able to protect. It is an urgent, sensitive, and visually intimate appeal that invites us to see the ocean as a living, sacred, and vulnerable territory.
