Biography
Graduated in Performing Arts and Journalism, Luciana Malavasi is a director, producer and scriptwriter. In 2023, she studied Filmmaking at the New York Film Academy (NYFA). Founder of Pulsante Filmes, she directed many short films, like “Iris’ Window”, winner of Best Director in the Rotterdam Independent Film Festival and Berlin Short Awards. The film is available on Prime Video and other streaming platforms. Her most recent project, the short film “The New Flesh" had its world premiere in 2025 at the Noves Vision - Petit Format section at the Sitges Festival, one of the most important genre film festivals around the world. Now, Luciana is working on the post-production of her first feature “Under The Broken Sky”, shot in Rio de Janeiro in August 2025, and also developing “Polemic!”, a feature with a script based on a successful book series.
