A story of a four sons of a big Ivanov family who are trying to start their own independent life.

In the apartment of Anna, who, judging by her testimony to the investigation, was on a business trip, a fire broke out at night. The son was saved, but as a result of a nervous shock he was speechless. The investigation, the mother and father of the child will find out the true cause of the tragedy.

The state of the world is depicted here with a single phrase: “there was confusion of concepts”... The film-performance based on the eponymous play by M. Gorky, directed by the Moscow Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin.
