In 2002, the director's debut film " My Favorite Snow Sky " was rated as one of China's 100 Classic Films by the China Film Archive . In 2012, the director's work "We Are Family" won the Best Actor Award at the China-US Los Angeles International Film Festival . In 2015, the director's work "Remaining Men and Saints" won the Best Foreign Language Film Award at the Hollywood Film Festival in the United States . His screenwriter "One to One Thief" won the 2011 Xia Yan Literature Award, and the screenwriter "Tree Kill" won the 2012 Xia Yan Literature Award. In 2017, the film "Legend of the Girl Scout" directed by the screenwriter won the finalist award at the 20th Shanghai International Film Festival Film Channel Media Awards.

In October 1934, after the failure of the Fifth Counter-Encirclement Campaign, the Central Red Army was forced to withdraw from the Central Soviet Area and begin a strategic retreat to escape the encirclement and pursuit of Nationalist forces. Along the way, under relentless ground assaults and aerial bombings, the Red Army fought bravely, breaking through enemy lines time and again. During one such breakout, in Shazhou Village, Rucheng County, Hunan, three female Red Army soldiers stayed overnight at the home of an elderly woman named Xu Jiexiu. Before leaving, they cut their only quilt in half and left one part for the old woman. Later, Xu said, “What is the Communist Party? The Communist Party is the people who would cut their only quilt in half and give one part to the people.”

A Preacher's Long March

Wang Guang, adopted by a kind couple who gave her the chance to study, is inspired by a revolutionary speech to join the fight against Japan. After witnessing the brutal deaths of loved ones, she joins the Eighth Route Army, endures hardships, and grows into a determined fighter. She becomes a Communist Party member, studies at the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, and later leads a guerrilla unit. Wang implements reform policies and avenges the massacre of villagers.
