This gives him the idea not to just sit quietly at home and enjoy his retirement, but to try to join the firefighter squad as a volunteer

Head of the family Marcel Kiekens, a manure cart driver by profession, has his hands full with his brother Theo, a scrap metal dealer, and especially with the eccentric Gilbert, who takes care of the chickens and has a peculiar hobby: digging wells.
