Derrick, a Brooklyn native and a graduate of SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor's degree in Cinema Screen Studies, possesses a strong academic background in film theory, philosophy, and screenwriting. In 2021, Derrick marked his directorial debut with 'Wasted Talent,' a short film that gained him numerous accolades and showcased his storytelling prowess.
