Biography
Ozan Takis, born in Kayseri in 1985, studied cinema at Mersin University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. His short films Cotton Candy, Awakening, The Cut, The Photograph were screened and awarded at numerous national and international festivals. He continues his festival journey successfully with his latest documentary, "Salman Gitmek Istiyor / Salman Wants to Go". He works as a director, screenwriter, and producer within Memoria Film, which he co-founded.

The Cut

Vakıf, a 60-year-old Kurdish man who grew up in a nomadic tribe in the mountains of southeast Turkey, recalls moments from his youth that have shaped his life. He takes us back to his idyllic childhood with his mother, his first love found in a cotton field and lost in the woods, and the mistreatment suffered at the hands of the police, in a cold and dark place.

konunun agamben'le bir ilgisi yok

People who have to leave where they live, let their photo taken for the last time in front of a backdrop. The photographer gives the photographs to everyone and they move away from the backdrop. "The Photograp"h takes a glimpse into the lives of all refugees who are forced to leave their country, from the point of view of the last moment they were together and happy. In doing so, the director who does not use any dialogues and thus does not offer any description, reveals his discourse on a global basis.
The Photograph

Zuhal with Down Syndrome, is a fan of Türkiye’s famous TV series “The Valley of the Wolves”, and is in love with the character Polat Alemdar. Knowing this, her close friend Ozan decides to shoot her documentary. On the first day of the set, Ozan, who tries to wake Zuhal up, finds himself in Zuhal’s world. A journey begins from Zuhal’s communication with customers and colleagues at work, to the ties she has established with her family, from her frank demeanor to her desire to become a celebrity.
I, Zuhal

Salmane is a Senegalese refugee living in Turkey. He dreams of moving to Europe, continuing his unfinished university life and supporting his family financially. During his time in Turkey, he works in different jobs and saves money to go to Europe. He makes several attempts to cross into Europe via Greece, but each time he is beaten and sent back to Turkey. Salmane, who disappeared on the day his documentary was shot, is never heard from again. While following Salmane's own text, the film unearths the memories he left behind with the help of the memories on his phone.
Salman Wants To Go

Sinan, a university graduate, takes his first trip as a truck driver, his father's profession. After meeting İbrahim in an abandoned place where he stops to rest at night, Sinan is driven to unexpected emotions and has to make a decision.
