The village innkeeper Lejba Sibal and his pregnant wife Sura are threatened by Lejba's former farmhand Georg, who wants to kill them both at Easter. After Lejba has sought help from the authorities in vain, he decides to fight back himself.

Inspired by true events, an orphaned boy raised by the regiment goes to the front in search of his best friend and faces terrifying experiences.

Escaping from a totalitarian society, in which music is banned, is rendered impossible, and the violent death of the artists, imposed by the supreme ruler, is carried out with no hesitation by his obedient servants.
