The life of Afife Jale, the first Turkish female theater artist, is recounted. Since childhood, Afife has been a free-spirited girl who loves her freedom. However, she lives in a conservative family environment. When she turned twelve, she was forced to wear a veil despite her objections. With the support of her family elders, her father allowed her to study painting at the School of Fine Arts. However, Afife's heart was set on theater. Initially, she staged plays for her friends on a small stage she had set up inside her home, performing the plays of the Afife Company. Her greatest obstacle was her father. With the support of her grandfather, the Pasha, and her childhood friend and lover, Dr. Ziya, Afife stood up to her father. She could not suppress her desire for much longer.

Famous singer Ferdi lives a happy life with his wife Sevil and son Cengiz. This picture of happiness is suddenly shattered one day by a gang. Naci, who has a score to settle with Ferdi from the past, and his men take Ferdi and his family hostage in their home one day. The gang takes all of Ferdi's assets and flees the house. However, Ferdi cannot bring himself to report the incident to the police. This is because the gang had taken precautions beforehand and taken inappropriate photos of Ferdi's wife. Selma Hanım comes to the town to convince Ayşe's family. She starts staying at Recep's hotel. Ayşe also starts spending time with Selma Hanım while waiting for her university exam results. Mrs. Selma returns to Istanbul after a while. A few days later, Ayşe's exam results arrive. Her father tears up the results. Upon this, Ayşe runs away from home and goes to Recep's hotel. However, Ayşe's arrival at the hotel will change the lives of both Ayşe and Zehra.
