To escape from a lack of perspective in Kosovo, Hana decides to resort to the services of Emir, an illegal smuggler in Serbia that will drive her to Hungary. On the way, complications arise as Emir's unscrupulous associates try to take advantage of Hana's vulnerability. In the midst of the frozen winter, Hana's courage and determination and Emir's principles and beliefs will be put to the test.

With its massive immigrant population, Switzerland has consistently held a social identity that is far from cohesive. The film asks two questions. Firstly, how does the country’s continually evolving social structure assimilate with the prevailing national identity. Secondly, how do immigrants to Switzerland articulate their search for identity in the midst of uncertainty and the need for individual identity and ultimately citizenship. Zvicra, translates as Switzerland in Albanian, and highlights the complexity of lost and rediscovered identities in Switzerland, a country that is destined to adapt to ever-increasing population demands. The film tackles these questions through seven Albanian characters whose community plays a central role in the film.

There is a schism between the capacity to understanding and the necessity to simply observe. As one of the most famous ethno- and anthropologist in the world, Claude Lévi-Strauss battled for this. While he was travelling in the 1950s to meet very different cultures and people, he has always refrained from establishing judgments based on his own comprehension of things, a philosophy that would be very well welcomed in the everyday life of all of us. Mostly, he was the first to coin the notions of the denaturation of culture - in reference to the predominance of western culture over more traditional ones.
