December 31, 1320. Residents of the medieval city of Nischburg, who survived two plague epidemics, are preparing to celebrate the New Year and quickly forget about all the problems that have fallen on their heads. But it turns out that not everything that is possible has fallen on their heads. A huge stone flies to Earth, which will fall in about twelve hours. The wise Baron decides not to say anything to anyone, but to distract his subjects by having a luxurious feast for all the money left in the treasury. The holiday begins!

The film's two main protagonists are Russia's best saber fencers. One of them has long been in the limelight, the other only recently made it into the national team and has been winning almost every tournament since. The two athletes begin to fight for supremacy both on and off the arena.
