The original Carmilla is a story about a young vampire who falls in love with the young woman who unwittingly takes her in after a carriage "accident". Bind Over Thee puts the power back in the victim's hands and gives her a choice. It asks subtle questions about innocence and identity, and wonders who is truly more dangerous: the vampire who falls in love, or the lonely girl who offers her a place to stay for the night.
