Biography
Dario Zanasi is an author of documentaries, video-clips, and short films. Among his fiction works, he directed three short films: CONTRAPPASSEX (1995), LIMBO BOULEVARD (1997), LUNA (2000), which participated to numerous Italian and foreign festivals and won several prizes and awards. In 2004 he creates Latin Lover, Italian episode of the collective European film LARGE (2004), that was screened in all the 25 European states and also in Congo, Indonesia and Colombia. In summer 2004 Zanasi was one of the creators of CineCirco (Group 28senza), itinerant festival of Italian independent works (fiction, documentaries, video-art) that goes from Italy to Lapland and that is linked to the Midnight Sun Film Festival.
Known For

Twelve musicians who have never seen each other before, six Europeans and six Africans, in a house in Addis Ababa. Objective: to build a jazz concert in fifteen days . The way to get there is a fifteen-day coexistence that turns into a perennial jam session . It looks like the format of a reality show ; in reality it is MAISHA, a project of the European Union - precisely of the European Commission.

The cast also includes Mario Zanasi as Enrico and Plinio Clabassi as Raimondo. The NHK Symphony Orchestra and Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus are under the direction of Maestro Bruno Bartoletti.
