Los Herederos Del Monte is a Spanish-language telenovela to be produced by the United States-based television network Telemundo and RTI Colombia, with Colombia as location. It is a remake of Chilean telenovela Hijos del Monte produced by TVN in 2008.

Bella Cepeda is a woman whose beauty is transformed into condemnation when a powerful businessman kidnaps her to make her his concubine. After achieving his freedom and returning to his village, he finds rejection from his community and distrust of his true love.

Barbarita is a young mestiza filled with beauty, a mixture of color and a passion for drums. However, she does not know her true origin as the daughter of a black woman from Barlovento, a small coastal town in Venezuela and a white Portuguese man. Barbarita is forced to flee from her hometown after being accused of a crime she didn't commit. To save herself, she poses as another woman and thus comes into the household of the Aristiguieta's, a family full of intrigue which is offended by Barbarita due to the color of her skin.

Alicia Machado stars as the protagonist. As of August 26, 2013, UniMás is broadcasting La Madame weeknights at 10pm/9c, replacing Clorofomo.
