At the beginning of 2024, Alejandro Rubio, one of the most representative poets of the 90s generation, died. His poems and his keen analysis of the social situation still echo in the present. Martín Gambarotta, a generation companion, outlines a reading of his work where, in addition to highlighting the aesthetic value, the roots of a great friendship that our contemporary literature had emerge forcefully. A walk, a reading, an exhibition, a festival, a recital: they form a film-homage to the crystal poet-mind.

Imagen Mala is a film by and from the life and work of the Argentine poet Alejandro Rubio: cult poet and backbone of what is known as “Argentine poetry of the 90s”. Rubio's voice reading poems; images from television, from the National Congress, from public demonstrations, from poorly translated American films; an interview with the poet and some images beyond and here in time make up this film that makes an era present.
