In a post-apocalyptic world in human decay, a protective father and his teenage daughter are forced to bring a mute teenage boy to their hide-out, which puts their relationship under decisive pressure and expose them to outer dangers. ØDELAND is a short drama about walking the thin line between doubt and hope and the choice between truth and lie – a story about a father wanting to do everything in his power to sustain hope in his daughter in a seemingly hopeless world.

The kidney patient Frederikke desperately wants to become a mother. That requires a new kidney. During Easter holiday she plans to ask her brother for the kidney he promised her as a child. But on arrival he brings his new girlfriend revealing their pregnancy, making it almost impossible for Frederikke to ask. Before the weekend is over old wounds boil up to the surface, revealing that the entire family has been hurting during Frederikkes lifelong illness.

Throughout their childhood, siblings Tilde and Ruud have been moved around between foster families and new schools. Over time, they have learned that they only have each other to rely on. When one of them is bullied, they take cruel and ruthless revenge together. The question is, how long can they keep fighting?
