Husma (The Breathe) (Sinhala: හුස්ම) is a 2019 Sri Lankan Sinhala drama thriller film directed by Sudesh Wasantha Peiris and produced by Nihal Wijesinghe for Nilkamal Films. It stars Pubudu Chathuranga, Dasun Pathirana and Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi in lead roles along with Chamathka Lakmini and Anjana Premaratne. Music composed by Keshan Perera.The film has influenced by 2015 Spanish film The Corpse of Anna Fritz.
Two pampered girls are married against their wishes to two crazy boys. As soon as trouble starts brewing, the girl’s father decides to bring in another girl to cause jealousy and re-ignite their relationship.
Jackie and Vikie steal money from a charity box in their village and run away. They arrive in Colombo and stay in a hotel where Jackie falls in love with Bhagya, a psychiatrist. Unknown, that another man, named Tintin is also in the race to win over Bhagya. Who will finally win her heart?
Ranja along with Vihangi and her mother come to the Colombo city to meet the minister, they've elected to the parliament, to hand over a petition about a factory in their village which poisons village river. All three of them stay at Ranja's childhood friend Jonny's house at Colombo. Meanwhile, a local goon named Swarna and her brother Kalu Vijay involved in many illegal activities in the area with the backing of the minister. One day, Vihangi accidentally collides with Kalu Vijay following which he tries to beat her but is saved by Ranja. Ranja and Kalu Vijay get involves in a heated argument which makes Kalu Vijay angry towards Ranja.
The story revolves around Mahanama, a well-known police officer who leaves his country to settle abroad. His son Prem is in love with Sulochana who lives in Sri Lanka. As fate would have it, Sulochana is not in love with Prem but Dougie; who is the lost son of Mahanama.
