Malan is a jobless 25 year-old youth who spends his days playing cricket with friends. He suffers from an irrational fear of ghosts and retreats to the safety of his home after sunset. His fear is so great he prefers to sleep with his widowed mother Geetha and have her accompany him to the bathroom at night, and also at the eating time. This creates major annoyance in the household, including Malan's brother Gamini, sister-in-law Nirmala and their children.

Ranmalee, a village girl talented in both music and dancing meets the son (Praveen) of a businessman who are on a visit to Ranmalee's village in search of a site to build their new hotel. Even though they had developed feelings for each other, Praveen's family doesn't accept their relationship. Meanwhile, Ranmalee comes across a photographer who's a friend of a leading entrepreneur (Sapumal) in the music industry and he helps her join Sapumal's dancing troupe. Ranmalee becomes very famous with her debut productions and Sapumal catches feelings for her. Ranmalee couldn't say "no" to her boss, but she's puzzled with the vibes from the relationship with Praveen.

Chandula and his two friends have planned a holiday at a luxury hotel. On their day of the visit, they see a beautiful girl (Isanka) at the hotel and Chandula starts to catch feelings towards her. Chandula's friends don't accept this, but they let him have her his way and keep enjoying the holiday while he tries and gets to know Isanka. Isanka and Chandula get close to each other and their relationship grows really strong within a week. But, due to some reason Isanka doesn't open up her true self to Chandula and disappears after seven days leaving him nothing but a broken heart.

The film revolves around a woman called Rashmi who had a salon. She found her daily expenses from this small business. She is married to Amal who is a playboy. Due to this, Amal did not pay much attention to Rashmi. Rashmi did not get the love he wanted. Meanwhile, Rashmi meets a young man named Akash, a journalist by profession as well as a novelist. Rashmi loves Akash because she received love from him that she did not get from Amal where the story twists between their worlds.
