Biography
Claire is a writer, director and performer living in LA, where she’s currently writing for Netflix Games. Before that, she spent two years on the Mainstage at Second City. Before that, she was a staff writer at Jackbox Games and a touring actor with the Second City National Touring Company. She has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, San Francisco Sketch Fest, Out of Bounds, and Women in Comedy Festival, among others. Her web series “Framed” was an Official Selection of the New York Television Festival in 2018. After graduating from Carleton College with a degree in Environmental Studies and a deep, abiding fear of climate change, Claire lived on a mountain in Greece, then she wrote history curriculum, then she framed pictures, then she wrote and designed party games, then she did 8 sketch comedy shows a week for two years. This is how life is, somehow.

Kombucha is a story about a musician trapped in an office job he couldn't care less about. Luke dreams of being on stage while doing B2B marketing work that feels completely meaningless. His coworkers all sip a red kombucha beverage and seem to have found purpose in this place. When his job seems threatened, and his future as a musician seems bleak, Luke decides to give the free kombucha a try. A feeling of commitment, focus, and belonging washes over Luke as he churns through creating a pitch deck for an upcoming client meeting. Unfortunately, the kombucha has a series of nasty side effects that grow and writhe inside of Luke. Kombucha is a short film that gives new meaning to being consumed by your work.
