In the near future, you can insert any knowledge directly into your brain. "J-4N413742" is a young woman bred to collect knowledge for these consumable "mindchangers". When "J-4N" experiences the truth about her existence she escapes and experiences a journey about realization.

After a young musician records a video of her own performance, she subsequently finds a second, living self instead of a video, which is trapped in the frame of this video. She sees this as an opportunity to create the perfect second self and thus the perfect external perception of herself.
