Two years after publishing the memoirs of Cristina La Veneno ('Digo! Ni puta ni santa') Valeria Vegas has not written anything and feels more lost than ever. After watching again the documentary 'Vestida de azul', which portrays six trans people in Madrid in the 80's, the journalist decides to investigate the harsh reality that Loren, Tamara, Renée, Eva, Josette, and Nacha, its protagonists, lived.

In 1969, seventeen-year-old Mariona was arrested and imprisoned in a reformatory governed by the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer (Women's Welfare Agency), which was dedicated to "regenerating fallen women" during the Francoist dictatorship. Hadoum, Fátima, Sheima, and Sokayna are four teenagers from El Puche, a suburb in the Spanish city of Almería, who are proud of their Moroccan and Spanish roots. Together they navigate their first experiences in out-of-the neighborhood schools, that evidence their underprivileged environment. However, this does not affect the intensity of their desires and dreams. On Fatima’s eighteenth birthday, the strength of their self-confidence will be put to the test.
