Raja Mayekar

A village damsel, Chandni, makes money by selling lottery tickets. She lives with her drunk father and a stepmother who hates her but announces that Chandni will marry the suitor who gives gold.

Sajjala, an orphan, is raised by Appakaka, her father's friend. When Appakaka is falsely charged with killing Jayantrao, Sajjala's betrothed, she vows to prove his innocence.

Three women run a women's self-help group and think themselves superior to their respective husbands. As a result, the men join hands with an unemployed youth to teach their wives a lesson.

Sunita Nadkarni is known to fight for everyone's rights and she lives in quarters of KSB Chemical factory where recently the colony has noted four back to back deaths of children.
