Sushama Shiromanee, born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a trailblazing figure in Indian cinema. A multifaceted talent, she has made significant contributions to the industry as an actress, producer, writer, and director. She has acted in 34 films, produced 9 films, written 9 screenplays, and directed 4 films. In 2024, under her leadership as Senior Vice President of the IMPPA International Committee, IMPPA made its first official appearance at the 77th and 78th Cannes Film Festival, in collaboration with the CII India Pavilion—marking a historic moment for Indian producers on the international stage. That same year, at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, IMPPA introduced the innovative concept of floating booths on yachts, pioneering a creative new approach to global film marketing and cultural exchange.
