The fight for freedom and against oppression is the central theme of this soap opera that tells the story of the Coragem brothers: João, Jerônimo and Duda, in the city of Coroado.

Os Trapalhões was a Brazilian comedy group and also a Brazilian television series created by Wilton Franco. Its members were Dedé Santana, Zacarias, Mussum and their leader Didi Mocó, that was played by Renato Aragão. The name Trapalhões is derived from the Portuguese verb atrapalhar, which means the opposite of helping, to do something the wrong way or to Those that confuse. The name is translated "Tramps" in English DVD subtitles. It was aired by Rede Globo from 1977 to 1999. On March 18, 1990, Zacarias died due to respiratory failure, but the group and the series didn't come to an end until July 29, 1994, when Mussum died due to an unsuccessful heart transplant.

The story is set in the fictional city of Albuquerque, in the interior of São Paulo, in the early 1960s – a time marked by changing behaviors in much of the world. There, young people enjoy the sounds of rock and twist on the dance floors, follow the fashion of jeans and leather jackets, and show off on Lambrettas and motorcycles through the city streets. In this context, Maria Tereza, a student teacher, dreams of living in the capital and being elected Miss Brazil, but clashes with her boyfriend, João. An idealistic young man who intends to pursue a career in journalism, he is consumed by jealousy of his beloved.

The telenovela tells the story of Francisca Moura Imperial, a wealthy businesswoman, and her two sons: Jordão and Tiago, who show little interest in the family business. Jordão is the product of a whirlwind romance in Francisca's youth, while Tiago was born from her marriage to Roberto, a seductive man who moves in high society but is penniless. Francisca is preoccupied with her sons but cannot interfere in their lives as much as she would like. Eccentric and full of outlandish ideas, she decides to undergo plastic surgery, which makes her look 20 years younger, believing that this will bring her closer to Jordão and Tiago. Francisca's greatest concern is that at least one of her sons will marry and give her a grandchild, thus ensuring the continuation of the family name.

The routine of the quiet town of Rio Belo changes with the arrival of Carina, a traveling actress determined to discover who her father is. At the same time, a mysterious crime involving the powerful Donana shakes the town.

'Cuca Legal' tells the story of Mário Barroso, a single aviator involved with three women at the same time: Virgínia, Irene, and Fátima. Virgínia is a wealthy businesswoman obsessed with the direction of her late father's business; Irene is a middle-class young woman who gives private piano lessons; and Fátima is a poor widow. Malu Mulher was a TV series broadcast by Rede Globo from May 24, 1979 to December 22, 1980, written and directed by Daniel Filho. The theme song, Começar de novo, was a great hit in the voice of one of Brazil's greatest popular female singer, Simone.
