Tatort is a long-running German/Austrian/Swiss, crime television series set in various parts of these countries. The show is broadcast on the channels of ARD in Germany, ORF in Austria and SF1 in Switzerland.

Alice, a single mother who is more dedicated to her work as a genetic engineer than to her teenage son Joe, develops a new variety of flower that is supposed to have the ability to make its owner happy thanks to its special chemical properties.

Started in 2018, the project – comprised of 11 segments by filmmakers from all around the world – reflects on the intertwined relationship between human society and nature that is aggravated by climate change on multiple scales, hinting at possible solutions.

A vast, rocky desert. A lone woman struggles to preserve the last remaining bit of the last remaining glacier with a crazy patchwork of cloth and rags that she retrieves from the abandoned valleys. Sisyphus' work. Only at night, when the blazing sun has disappeared, other creatures appear. Wolves and mountain goats drink in unison from the last source of water. And the woman is no longer alone.

Conflict-avoidant Thomas just wants a relaxing holiday in the Swiss Alps. But, it's a slippery slope from the beginning. In an effort to repair his own family ties and to impress his boss, he takes his family and his employer's daughter with him. Tragedy strikes and Thomas feels responsible. Should he be his typical passive self? Or risk doing the right thing at the expense of his relationships with his family and employer?

Niki has two kids, two jobs, and no money. After a fire turns her life upside down, her children are placed in foster care. Banned from contact, she assumes a new identity risking everything to stay close to them.

Andrej Medvedev is the first Wagner Group mercenary who fought for Russia in Ukraine and fled to the West. He now lives in Oslo, is applying for political asylum, and says he wants to “find peace”. But he himself stands in the way of his integration in Norway, because despite his escape from Putin’s realm, Andrej remains a staunch Russian patriot. He has renounced Wagner and the war, but whether he will ever be able to leave his inner Russia behind is completely uncertain.
