a devoted student returns to his village after completing his religious studies. When the villagers choose him to become their imam, he realizes he must first marry. Determined to understand women before choosing a wife, he leaves his village and cross paths with Taja, a clever and mischievous young woman who introduces him to the complicated “wars of women,” leading him into a series of unexpected adventures and troubles.
The film is a tale of authentic Moroccan heritage, which tells the story of a poor family made up of Father Salem, known as "Zatat", who accompanies and guards commercial convoys from bandits. Due to the intensity of the father's attachment to his three daughters and his fear for them, he stopped working and stayed with them. But one day, he had to travel, the father’s news disappeared, and the three sisters believed that he had perished. Aouisha, the youngest daughter, professes deception to take care of her two sisters, and each time the sovereign "Moulay Abed" confronts her, she escapes him because of her intelligence and insight.
Shams is a very beautiful young woman who was raised in the confines of her stepfather, El-Ghali, who had no children, without knowing that he is not his real father. Al-Ghaly loved Shams so much that he refused anyone who offered to marry him, and more than that, he moved her with his mother to the village and forced him to wear the veil to hide its charms from the youth of the tribe. But when love knocks on his door with a young man called "Mamoun", Al-Ghaly decides to lock him up and prevent him from going out.
Based on Moroccan folklore, the series depicts a number of different folk tales, using the events to show pointed messages and moral lessons.
The film centers on “Dounit”, a beautiful mysterious woman whose arrival disrupts the harmony of an Amazigh village. She attracts three shepherds—Muslim, Christian, and Jewish—and eventually people from different social and religious positions become caught up in competing for her. The character of Dounit works symbolically as an embodiment of “the worldly life” (الدنيا) and its temptations.
Hamou Onamir, a young man from an Amazigh village, encounters a mysterious celestial woman who descends from the sky with her companions. Fascinated by her beauty, Hamou eventually marries her, but she makes him promise never to reveal her secret. When the secret is discovered, their relationship is put to the test, leading to a dramatic journey of love, betrayal, and fate. Based on the traditional Amazigh legend of Hamou Onamir.
