Although Ramachari falls madly in love with Alamelu, her parents forbid their marriage and force her to marry another man. But Ramachari can't stand idly by when he discovers his sweetheart's husband has become her pimp. Quietly aiding Ramachari on his quest to save Alamelu is Chamayya, a childless woman who loves him as much as if he were her own son.

While Gopi is set to marry Kanaka, a lawyer's daughter, he falls for Kanaka's classmate Gowri. So, he must strive to choose between his family and his love.

Chandanada Gombe is a simple love story. Anant Nag is a landlord. Lakshmi's father is a school teacher who is struggling to find a bridegroom for Lakshmi. They get married with the help of relatives. Chakra Theertha is a 1967 Indian Kannada-language film, directed by Peketi Sivaram. The film stars Rajkumar, Udaykumar, Jayanthi and Balakrishna, with musical score by T. G. Lingappa. It is based on the novel of same name by T. R. Subba Rao. The director remade the film in Telugu in 1968 as Chuttarikaalu.

The only son of the Royal Astrologer, Narsin (Om Prakash) namely Gopal (Bharat Bhushan) is not interested in astrology but in music and songs, much to the dismay of Narsin. Based on the novel Hamsageethe by T. R. Subba Rao.
