In 2025, he made his debut in Bengali cinema with the film Aarii, sharing the screen with Yash Daasguptaa, Nussrat Jahan, and Moushumi Chatterjee—marking a significant milestone in his career. He is best known as the founder of Bankura Memes Short (BMS). His work is characterized by the use of humor to convey social messages. Unmesh is also active in theater, having performed in plays like Nehru's Speech. Additionally, he has explored the music industry with the album Maloti Masi, further showcasing his creative versatility.
