Biography
Joelma da Silva Mendes is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, choreographer, stylist and businesswoman. She started her career in 1994, as one of the members of the band "Fazendo Arte". In 1999, she formed, in the company of her husband, the band "Banda Calypso". They released thirteen studio albums and ten live albums. After the end of the band in 2015, Joelma spent the next three months focusing on producing her solo debut; In April 2016, she released her self-titled debut album "Joelma".

It was released in November of the same year. It brought a different show full of musical influences, and a participation of the duo of composers, Edu & Maraial (Edú Luppa and Marquinhos Maraial).
